Abstract Challenge Day 3: Splatter

Standard

Another day, another mani. Today is day 3 of the Abstract Challenge, and today was a splatter mani.

I started with two coats of Wet N Wild Tickled Pink, then added a coat of Zoya Erika (my namesake polish hee) for a little shimmer. I then splattered with two more Wet N Wild polishes, How I Met Your Magenta and Femme Fatal. Topped with NYC Extra Shiny Top Coat.

This also counts as my first Pink Wednesday post, obviously.

I originally was attempting to try a new method for splattering, using a toothbrush, but it didn’t work, so I went back to the straw method and finally got it right (except for the major constant smudging on my left hand)!

Tomorrow is Black with Some Color for the Black & White Challenge, and then Friday is V-Gaps for this challenge.

    • If you do it, be very careful. I got slightly sick doing my right hand due to inhaling polish fumes while getting ready to blow for the splatter.

As for the toothbrush, my boyfriend had mentioned when he was a kid, he’d use an old toothbrush dipped in white paint to create a spatter of stars when doing pictures of night skies. He thought it would work the same with polish, but it refused to splatter.
