Today is the first day of a new challenge! It’s one I’ve been considering for a while, but finally got the push to do it by some other girls getting together to do it! It’s the Girly Girl Challenge originally created by Neverland Nail Blog and put on by Manis by Moore and Ramblings of a Closet Diva.
Today’s challenge was Think Pink. Though it says to use my favorite pink, and this is not it (that would be NYC’s Prospect Park Pink), this was one of my two pinks that worked the best with the technique I was going for. I started with 2-3 coats of NYC Greenwich Village, then topped them all with Color Club Top Coat. Once those were completely dry, I taped off the top and bottom of my ring finger, painted some more of the top coat on my nail, and covered it in Recollections Flocking Powder in Hot Pink for a velvety accent nail. I really loved the way the stripe came out, and want to try it with polish.
The girly girl challenge will post every Friday until May 17th. Next Friday’s post is bling nails.
