I’ve been looking forward to this mani since I decided to do the Black & White Challenge.
Simple newsprint nails today. All over a base of Sally Hansen Hard to Get.
Today is also Treatment Thursday and I have a new kind of treatment for you today.
This is my current nail polish remover. The Onyx Professional 100% Pure Acetone jar. I got it at WalMart.
What I love about this is that unlike other nail polish remover jars I’ve tried (the Sally Hansen ones), the Onyx Professional one has the remover sitting in a tub with plastic bristles, not in a sponge, so it works much better at removing polish than the sponges do. It’s also amazing at removing glitter polish, which is awesome when my POBC fails.
So, tomorrow is Household Item nails, then Saturday I start something new (not a true challenge, though.)
Right hand action today because I hadn’t had time to do my left hand.
For today I had to do water marbling. I did a bit of a different technique this time, and it worked out really well.
I started with two coats of Wet N Wild French White Crème, then one coat of my Try it on Tuesday polish, Piggy Polish Frosty, which is a sheer shimmery white for some shine. I wanted to use Frosty on its own, but it’s much too sheer for that.
I then marbled with Shades of the Season Black and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Invisible, with a 3:1 ratio of black to clear. I marbled with black and clear instead of black and white because that way I didn’t have to worry about the black going gray when marbled with the white.
Tomorrow is stripes from the Abstract Challenge, and then Thursday is the last Black and White Challenge post, a mani of my choice.
Today’s mani was rushed because my nail painting time today was taken up with work (I ended up getting called in.)
As it stands, I only did the one hand for picture taking purposes.
Anyway, started with two coats of Wet N Wild French White Crème, and sponged with Wet N Wild Black Crème.
Tomorrow is sponging again, this time with bonus color. Tuesday is Black and White Water Marbling (and I’ll actually be using a white that isn’t a creme!)
The love I have for today’s mani, *sigh* Anyway, today was black & white with glitter. I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Hard to Get, then added a coat of Sally Hansen Ink Splatter. Then, because it so happens to be Friday, that means it’s time for another Favorite Friday. Today my favorite is Wet N Wild Hallucinate, a holo glitter. I chose this glitter today because of its holo nature. It looks silver over Hard to Get, but the polishes true nature shows up over Ink Splatter. It took me forever to realize this (I thought it was just a silver glitter), but once I did I was hooked. Tomorrow is ombre, and Sunday is sponged black and white. See you then.
For today’s mani, I started with two coats of NYC Prospect Park Pink, then stamped using Color Club French Tip and Fing’rs plate B41.
A simple mani today, and obviously counts as a Pink Wednesday mani.
Not really much else to say.
Tomorrow is half moons (*cry*), then Friday is Black & White with Glitter (*yay*)
Ugh, phone why are you now taking blurry pictures? (My phone’s flash >> my camera’s flash so I use it.)
Anyway, today was color with some black. I originally based this design off of a jet ski in a game my boyfriend has on his phone. I started with two coats of NOPI One Time Lime, then did the stripes with Milani Black Canvas. Topped with NYC Extra Shiny Top Coat.
Like I had said, this mani was originally modeled after a jet ski in this racing game my boyfriend has. Though, after staring at it for most of the day, I realized that this also looks like something else:
It looks just like Kevin’s car from the Ben 10 series (don’t judge me, lol). And that, my readers, makes this mani even more awesome than it was before.
The only sad thing was that I suffered a break on my right index finger while wearing this today, but eh, what can you do?
Tomorrow is dotted nails from the abstract challenge, and Wednesday is color with white nails. Also coming is today’s Makeup Monday post.
Today’s challenge is white with color. I went with a simple design cause I couldn’t really think of anything else. I used Color Club Shock Rock over Sally Hansen Hard to Get. Topped with Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine.
Not much else to say about it except sorry that it’s kinda blurry. I took multiple photos and this was the best one.
Tomorrow comes needle marbling, then Monday is color with black. Smorgasbord Saturday post coming up.
